Diana has provided marketing and management services in the government contracting arena since 1987 and in the commercial arena since 1984. She is the engagement partner for D2DInc’s business development and consulting, marketing communications, 8(a) application, and recruiting services clients. Her expertise is in business development, capture management, corporate business and policy development, corporate communications, human resources management, project management, and proposal preparation support services for businesses. She has expertise in numerous industries and supports efforts in both civilian and defense agencies.
Ms. Kurcfeld advises on and creates corporate image, communications, and marketing materials. She has trained sales and marketing teams on marketing communications, proposal writing, and project management. She has started several marketing support departments from scratch, formalized company procedures and trained personnel, constructed proposal/resume/past performance libraries, and turned money-losing departments into profit centers. She has taught SBA-sponsored classes to small businesses on advanced planning, capture management, proposal writing, and corporate communications. She has guest-lectured on marketing and Internet-based market research at the University of Maryland’s School of Business. She has also taught courses on marketing to the federal government and proposal preparation at the Women’s Business Center of Washington, DC.
Diana, along with her business partner Molly Gimmel, was a monthly columnist for ThinkBusiness Magazine (formerly Smart Business Ideas Magazine) on topics related to government contracting such as marketing, human resources, management, sales, and planning. She is an active member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals; American Marketing Association; Business Marketing Association; National Association of Female Executives; Society for Human Resource Management; and Professional Services Council. She has a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelors of Fine Arts.
Molly has been working in the field of government contract and acquisition management since 1991. She works with clients in all industries to provide consulting services in the areas of proposal management, pricing, contract and subcontract management, GSA Schedule proposals and administration, FAR and regulatory compliance, and contract financial management. Before founding D2DInc, she spent eight years working in the government practices of three of the “Big Five” accounting/consulting firms. She is the engagement partner for D2DInc’s contract administration, GSA Schedule, and proposal management, pricing, and training services clients.
Molly and her business partner wrote a monthly column on issues related to government contracting for ThinkBusiness Magazine (formerly Smart Business Ideas Magazine). She is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Association of Proposal Management Professionals (APMP), the American Small Business Coalition (ASBC), and Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP). She is currently serving on the board of the GovConNet initiative within the Montgomery County MD Chamber of Commerce and is the Chair-Elect of the NAWBO National Presidents Assembly, as well as serving on the NAWBO Greater DC Chapter Advisory Board as a Past Chapter President. She is a Certified Professional Contract Manager, has a Masters of Science in Contract & Acquisition Management, and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing.
